A Custom Look
Decorative end panels add an extra bit of style and design to your kitchen. The concept is simple enough and the finished product looks fantastic. In almost any kitchen, there are bound to be end panels to some degree. If you do happen to have wall to wall cabinets, perhaps you have an island, in which case you would have end panels. One option when refacing would be to simple skin these ends with finished plywood. While that does work, we prefer the use of decorative end panels. What are those, you may ask? Imagine a door, that instead of working as a door, is simply secured on to your cabinets end. We love this look because instead of just flat plywood skins, your end panels match the rest of your kitchen perfectly.
On an island especially, you are likely to have doors and/or drawer fronts on just one side. Wrapping the rest of your island in decorative end panels makes the finished product look more like a beautiful piece of furniture, than just another cabinet. In some cases, you may have one lone door on an island side. Setting decorative end panels up against that door will help to hide it. If you decide to go with an impressive door style and perhaps a custom glaze, the addition of end panels will give your kitchen an especially beautiful look.
A Stylish Choice with Decorative End Panels
You would be hard pressed to think of a reason to not use deco panels. They do more to the overall look of your kitchen than plywood panels will. While they will cost more, the look and feel of your space will appear to be more complete. You will certainly appreciate the decision to add them if you do.
