In a world that becomes more and more technologically advanced each day, it isn’t hard to believe our next topic of conversation is now a reality. Smart kitchens are taking over homes everywhere and are now able to be controlled through apps and Wi-Fi. Some may worry about artificial intelligence and its’ capabilities, while others welcome it with open arms. Either way, it is happening and may now be a part of your kitchen sooner than you think.

Future Tech with Smart Kitchens
It is hard to imagine kitchen appliances becoming smarter and more capable than they already are. I mean, one of them washes your dishes for you and another keeps groceries the perfect temperature. But what if you could tell your dishwasher to start a cycle from an app on your phone while you are stuck in traffic on your way home from work? Or even set your refrigerator to alert you when you are almost out of eggs? It is all possible with smart appliances. Samsung now has a line of refrigerators that have cameras inside them. So when you are at the store and can’t think of whether or not you need more cheese, you just fire up your app and the fridge will take a snapshot of what is in it. If nothing else, this is a cool gimmick to show off to your friends.

Your Coffee is Ready
Are you a serious coffee drinker and depend on that first cup to help jumpstart your day each and every morning? With the appropriate coffee maker, you are now able to sync up and schedule for a fresh cup to made each day at the exact time of your choosing. With a compatible product, you could also walk into your kitchen and say “Alexa, make me a cup of coffee”. The intelligence does not stop there. Motion activated, hands free faucets are becoming more popular. Need to set the proper mood in your kitchen? Set up some app controlled LED lighting and change the color and brightness of your lights with the push of a button. All connections to these smart devices are completely wireless and instead use your homes internet connection via Wi-Fi. Even without internet though, in some cases you should be able to connect through Bluetooth.

Smart Kitchens, High Price
One thing you will find common with many of these appliances and devices is that they aren’t exactly cheap. New technology has always come at a price, but with all things electronic, in time, prices should drop. While the idea of a fully operational smart kitchen may sound awesome, it may not be something you need just yet. Technology is always changing and better, more efficient versions of the same thing will come. Right now, it just depends on how much these things are worth to you as the consumer. The kitchen is getting smarter each and every day, what will they think of next? For everything kitchens, past, present and future, keep up with our blogs and add us on Facebook!
